Privacy Policy
Last updated 14 May 2026
Torchley Lighting (“Torchley”, “we”) runs torchley.com and the shop hosted at this address. This notice explains how we handle information when you browse, enquire, or buy a fixture.
Article 1 — Who we are
Torchley Lighting is a lighting house. For data questions write to privacy@torchley.com. Company particulars will be listed here once a registered office is confirmed.
Article 2 — Information we collect
We collect what you type into checkout and contact forms (name, email, delivery address, phone), order history, and technical logs (IP address, browser, pages viewed). We do not ask for payment-card numbers; those stay with the payment processor.
Article 3 — How we use it
We use the information to fulfil orders, crate and ship fixtures, answer enquiries, prevent fraud, keep accounts, and improve the catalogue. We do not sell lists of buyers.
Article 4 — Cookies
Essential cookies keep a bag and a session. Analytics cookies, if enabled, tell us which fixtures are opened. You can refuse non-essential cookies in the browser; the shop still works.
Article 5 — Sharing
We share data with carriers who crate the goods, with the payment processor who takes the card, with hosting that keeps this site online, and with authorities when the law requires it. We do not share with advertisers.
Article 6 — Retention
Order records are kept for the period required by tax and consumer law. Enquiry mail is kept only as long as the conversation is live, then archived or deleted.
Article 7 — Your rights
You may ask to see, correct, or delete personal data we hold, and you may object to marketing. Write to privacy@torchley.com. If you are in a jurisdiction with a supervisory authority, you may also lodge a complaint there.
Article 8 — Contact
Privacy desk: privacy@torchley.com. We aim to reply within ten working days.
